If you are looking for a bull that would fit in your beef cattle program and increase the quality of your calves you can find him here in this producer program. This all-breed program provides the highest quality genetics under the supervision of the livestock specialists of the University of Missouri Extension Service. On Sale day we furnish you all of the consignment information, plus current weights, heights, and scrotal measurements. We also have a soundness score, plus visual appraisal by area livestock specialists from University of Missouri Extension offices.
Fall Sale: Friday, October 29 at 7 p.m., Farmington Regional Stockyards
The next bull sale is scheduled for Friday, October 29, 2021 at 7:00 PM. Entries are due September 1, 2021. There is a $100 entry fee per entry and sale expenses run around $200 per bull depending on how many bulls we have.
Bulls must have been born between September 1, 2019 to October 15, 2020.
Bull must rank in the top 50% of their breed for two out of five EPD traits: CE or BW, WW, YW, Milk, and Marbling.
Bull must have an adjusted 365 day weight of 1100 pounds
Must be a 5 Frame
Must meet weight per day of age
Bulls used prior to the sale must test negative for trichomoniasis
Out of state bulls must meet Missouri health regulations
The Show-Me-Select Replacement Heifer Program now requires all bulls to be advertised and sold as "Show-Me-Select Qualified" have genomic-enhanced EPD's provided through a DNA test in addition to meeting the calving ease EPD requirement (see below).
This rule is not just for bulls to be sold through the SEMO Performance Tested Bull Sale, but ANY seedstock producer selling bulls as Show-Me-Select qualified and/or using the trademark name or logo to market bulls.
